How we all need to understand Abraham, who is in so many ways the father of Jewish, Christian and Islamic faith!  'In so many ways': that's the problem!  As George Bristow demonstrates in this thorough exploration, our different ways of understanding Abraham indicate our differences as well as our agreements.  By taking us to the Bible and to the Qur'an, he shows how the stories of Abraham reflect the whole world-views of the Scriptures in which they appear.  We also see how discussion of these stories can be the basis of discussion between Muslims and Christians, enabling all to think more about God and to learn more about each other's faith.  I can think of few discussion topics that are more needed in today's world.
